The purposes of the establishment of the Alliance are to construct a bridge for communications among the Chinese university alumni in Southern California, to provide help to each other, and to exchange information with each other. Establishment of the Alliance is significant to

(1) fulfill the needs of assisting the alumni of universities in employment, entrepreneurship, life styles, sports activities, socializing, and others;

(2) gather the strengths of the alumni families with the help of collective efforts to build this new alumni organization into a Southern California reputable overseas Chinese organization in collaboration with other local Southern California overseas Chinese associations;

and (3) provide a strong platform for alumni of universities from the overseas Chinese, especially those from mainland China to visit the United States for exchange, business and collaboration. In the meantime, the Alliance is also promoting growth and progress of its own. The Alliance currently has 75 members coming from respective university alumni associations.
