CUAAASC Annual Support Events

With a focus on community enhancement, culture elaboration, and social responsibility, CUAAASC hosts and supports various influential events and activities each year for alumni of university in local community. The CUAAASC is able to assist the alumni with the needs of career development, social life and team collaboration for learning, share and growth.

Event News

Annual Conference

The annual conference encompasses reviewing accomplishements of the preceding year, conducting a transition ceremony for both the outgoing and incoming leadership teams, presenting awards to volunteers, and delivering specialized lectures.

Arts Festival Performance

The annual Arts Performance Festival, began in 2022, is a vibrant cultural extravaganza. The performances encompass a variety of dance styles, vocal and instrumental music, as well as the fusion of Eastern and Western cultural forms such as Chinese opera.

Sing If You Wish

Launched in 2020, is an annual event with a warm invitation to alumni from Chinese universities, second-generation alumni, Chinese international students in the United States (including graduates), and foreign nationals who have studied in mainland China to participate.

Song Zhumei Picnic Party

Annual Picnic Festival held in Whittier, Los Angeles includes entertainment of arts’ performance, and volleyball and tug of war contests, accompanying with food fest.

Song Zhumei Scholarship and Financial Aid

Established in 2011, the Song Zhumei Scholarship is an annual award bestowed upon elementary, middle, and high school students. In 2023, the Song Zhumei Financial Aid was introduced to provide assistance to financially disadvantaged students.

Table Tennis "CUAAASC Cup”Tournament

Inaugurated in 2022 to honor the 50th anniversary of the historic visit of the Chinese Table Tennis Team to the United States, this tournament extends invitations to Chinese community associations, alumni groups, table tennis clubs, and local businesses across Southern California.
