Clubs

CUAAASC CLUB INTRO

Club is a great way of strengthening alumni families; it brings alumni of different interests together creating a space to communicate and improve. Currently CUAAASC club holds performing arts, sports, photography and other hobbies that are diversified from 17 clubs since January 1, 2020 when the clubs were officially established.

Club members are not only alumni of 69 CUAAASC member alumni associations, but also include alumni from non-member university alumni associations living in Southern California. Some sports clubs have as many as 200 to 300 members. Alumni with exceptional skills in certain fields are featured and their talents have been further developed during a series of club activities.

The club also offers professional seminars during the COVID-19 pandemic, for example long-distance running seminar, vocal music seminar, Chinese opera seminar. Some clubs even opened free training classes such as calligraphy, photography and volleyball classes.

While enriching their daily life, the alumni have greatly enhanced their friendship with each other and contributed to the growth of unity and harmonious among Chinese communities in Southern California.

Club Annual Plan

· Union Department Responsibility System
1. The Sports Department, the Alliance Art Department, the Alliance Propaganda Department, and the Alliance Development Department manage different clubs.
2. The person in charge of the department conducts daily coordination and management.

· Club chairman and vice-chairman are in charge of their respective clubs.
1. Be under the management of the head of the executive committee and cooperate with the coordination work of the ministers and vice ministers of various departments

Dance

CUAAASC Dance company provides a platform attracting college alumni who love dancing, exchanging and performing arts.

Vocal

CUAAASC Singing Club is home for vocal music lovers and singing fans to learn and communicate.

Chinese Traditional Opera

CUAAASC Chinese Opera Club, aims to promote Chinese culture and traditional opera art in Southern California.

Court Sports Clubs

Table Tennis

Established on 1/1/2021, the club offers opportunity to alumni of members Chinese University /Colleges across Southern California.

Volleyball

The club organizes online seminars and physical field events.

Other Hobby Club

Golf

Golf course is one of most popular sport for all ages in United States.

Gardening

CUAAASC gardening club serves as a family for horitculture fans.

Promotion & Media Club

Photography

"Life is not only just what is in front of you. Life is also in poetry and infinity”.

Painting and Calligraphy

Established in 2020, the Club is a place for CUAAASC art fans to communicate, to learn and to improve painting and calligraphy skills.

League of Literature

Established in 2020, League of Literature provides a platform for sharing literary works among the alumni groups of CUAAASC.

2020 Annual Meeting

The annual conference encompasses reviewing accomplishements of the preceding year, conducting a transition ceremony for both the outgoing and incoming leadership teams, presenting awards to volunteers, and delivering specialized lectures.
